Does anyone find it odd that Christianity has so many different types of churches?

Islam is Islam, Hindu is Hindu, Buddhism is Buddhism but Christianity is Roman Catholic, Greek Orthodox, Pentecostal, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Protestant and the list goes on and on and on.
