How accurate are pregnancy tests?

I took 3 pregnancy tests all 1 day after my missed period. all came back negative. Still no period today. Sex with unbroken condom and no ejaculation. PMS symptoms, tender brests, more acne, slightly more emotional. Is stress what's delaying my period? Could I actually be pregnant?
