Is it at all possible that my friend is pregnant?

it may be possible, when i found out i was pregnant i had missed my period and was a week late, my boobs hurt pretty bad, and i was extremely exhausted. having spotting while pregnant is something that can occur, i have a friend who had her "period" well into her 7th month of pregnancy due to a low-lying placenta. your friend may just be psyching herself out since she didn't use a condom and is just being paranoid. she should wait and see if her period seems normal and lasts the average amount of days it normally does. if her body still feels different after a week or 2 have her take another test.
