Left ovary pain for a week?

Last week I started getting crampy pain in my left ovary area. I checked my calendar, and it was right around ovulation, so I didn't think anymore about it. It has now been a week since the left ovary pain started. It started as a crampy feeling, then was hurting just walking around. Now I have notice that it doesn't always hurt, but I can feel it there if that makes sense. Also, if I'm laying on my back I can feel that it is still bothering me. And if I press around in that area it is tender to the touch. I am aware of ovulation pain which I have had in the past, but never for this long as it has now been a week. Is this something I should be concerned with? I read it could be ectopic pregnancy symptom but it seems the symptoms would be too early as I was only ovulating last week when the crampiness and then pain started. I have a call in to my Dr but just wanted to check with others who may have experienced the same. Feels almost like my ovary must be swollen and tender or something but I don't know why it would be. Thanks!
